So i really love to cross things off my bucket list, and i’m happy that this past weekend i was able to cross off another one, and that was STOMPING THE GRAPES!!! This year the winery at Grgich Hills Estate had stomping up until mid November! I was super elated!! It was very cold, and felt extremely weird but yet super fun! Afterwards they let you step on a shirt for keepsake as well as give you information about the wine, and how it was made! The price varies $20-50 per person depending on what you’d like to do. I enjoyed a nice wine tasting and my favorite was the dessert wine named after the owners daughter, Violetta! I learned that usually the sweeter wine is pulled last so it can absorb all the sugars, and the more dry/bitter wines even champagnes are pulled first! I didn’t get a chance to do the Aerial Tram Ride in Napa at the Sterling Vineyards. It overlooks beautiful parts of Calistoga, but i’ll for sure be back next month to test it out! The Sterling Vineyards are known to be one of the most beautiful vineyards as well! I’m totally bummed i didn’t get to see it this time around. Nevertheless, I had an amazing time, you all should definitely consider taking a visit!
Whats on your bucket list!?
