As I’m reminiscing about my trip to Amsterdam, I must say I fell in love the moment I stepped off the plane! I learned so much about Amsterdam’s history just within the short time of me being there. So please allow me to fill you in on a little bit of this Amsterdam tea lol! Originally founded in the 12th century as a fishing village, the village derived its name from the Amstel River and the dam that was built to avoid the floods from the ZuiderZee (South Sea) entering the inlands. Over time Amstellodamus evolved into the amazing Amsterdam! Want to explore the city, no problem! There are 165 different canals you can use to do so. Such a Beautiful atmosphere and scenery, I was taken back tremendously! Did you know Amsterdam is actually among the safest cities in the world, and I could definitely believe it! You know sometimes when you go out the country you feel out of place, or the locals know that your a tourist? Yeahhhh that’s definitely not the vibe here! Everyone is so focused on them-self, and was super sweet and chill. I almost didn’t want to come back to the states lol. Don’t get me started on the coffee shops, y’all know I love a good cup of coffee! 200 coffee shops to choose from, some in which sell “soft drugs”! Yup you heard me, you can get cannabis right at your local coffee shop. Since the drug is legal your free to grow it in your own back yard! Maybe this is the reason why everyone is so chill and the crime rate is very low lol. I can go on and on about Amsterdam’s beautiful parks, delicious restaurants, and intriguing events, but if I tell you all about it, it would be nothing left for you to look forward to when you visit lol! I’m certain you’ll love Amsterdam just as much as I do!

Top & Pants ~ Free People ( www.freepeople.com )
Dick Hayne is the owner and founder of Free People. Free People nurtured to young people, who looked for a little of their own freedom in the clothes they wore! As Dick’s store grew from one to two, the name was changed from Free People to Urban Outfitters! Yet in 2001, Him and his wife Meg, realized that it was really Free People that invoked some of our favorite images, those of femininity, courage, and spirit. It was time to get back to the roots. Free People shed its junior image and evolved into a more mature, contemporary brand. This allowed older women to appreciate the line of clothing that catered to their intelligence, creativity and individuality, while keeping with its great quality and affordability!
Bag ~ Chanel ( www.chanel.com )
Y’all know I love me some CoCo Chanel!! Did you know Coco Chanel introduced pants for women? She outraged the fashion world when she wore pants in Venice, to make traveling by gondola easier! Coco Chanel decided that there was no comfortable way to ride a horse while wearing a long skirt. She was always a risk taker which made her go places for sure! And that I admire so much about her, she reminds me so much of myself!
